There’s so much to do here at Jellystone Park™, you may never want to leave. But our family vacation resort is also a great “home base” for those who want to explore attractions in the surrounding area. While there are many adventures that may await you in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, these are three of our favorites.

Guadalupe River

Our park is located right on the beautiful Guadalupe River! Enjoy fishing, wading and relaxing! If you are interested in going a little farther, we are a short drive away from kayak and canoe rentals. Another camper favorite is tubing–find yourself floating the beautiful HorseShoe Loop on the Scenic Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Texas. There are numerous tube rental companies in the area such as Whitewater Sports.

Ingram Dam

Next to Ingram Lake, the Ingram Dam is a popular spot to swim and take a slippery ride down the dam. While you’re there, don’t forget to stop by the Ingram Lake Dam Store for a souvenir to commemorate your adventure!

Enchanted Rock

Enchanted Rock is an enormous pink granite dome located in the Llano Uplift, which is between Fredericksburg, Texas and Llano, Texas. The massive dome rises above Central Texas and has been a major attraction for thousands of years. There is much more to view at the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area than just the enormous dome. There also is beautiful scenery, other huge rock formations and many different magical legends that have happened over the years – perfect for a day trip!

There you have it, campers–three of our favorite nearby adventures! If you can pull yourself away from all of the fun we know you’ll be having at Jellystone Park™, we definitely recommend checking these options out.
